Traffic curbs for Yashwant rally

The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory for the rally on Saturday for the arrival of Yashwant Sinha, contesting candidate for Presidenti­al elections. Officials said that traffic from Begumpet Airport to Jalavihar will be stopped or diverted from 11 am to 2 pm.

A large gathering is expected from Begumpet airport – Lifestyle – Somajiguda – Khairataba­d – IMAX Rotary – Necklace Road –Jalavihar, which may lead to traffic congestion, said the officials.

“Traffic from Green Lands towards Raj Bhavan Road will be diverted at Monappaisl­and /Rajiv Gandhi Statue towards Panjagutta. Traffic from Khairataba­d towards Necklace Rotary will not be allowed towards Necklace rotary and diverted at Khairataba­d junction towards Shadan College. Traffic from Minister Road towards Sanjeevaia­h Park will not be allowed and diverted towards Buddha Bhavan, Tank Bund at Nallagutta Bridge. Meanwhile, traffic from Tank Bund towards Sanjeevaia­h Park will not be allowed and diverted towards Karbala Maidan at Sonabai Mosque and traffic from Mint Compound towards Necklace rotary will not be allowed towards Rotary and will be diverted towards Khairataba­d Bada Ganesh at Traffic Police Station of Saifabad,” said the police.

The general public are advised to take alternativ­e routes and avoid the Begumpet Airport towards Panjagutta crossroads, Somajiguda towards Khairataba­d Junction,

Khairataba­d Junction towards Necklace Road Rotary, Necklace road Rotary towards Jalavihar and Telugu Talli towards Necklace Rotary to avoid traffic congestion. “Large numbers of political leaders are expected to move from Begumpet Airport to HICC Novotel Madhapur between 10 am to 6 pm through Panjagutta KBR Park - Jubilee Hills Check Post - Road No. 36 - Madhapur which may lead to traffic congestion. Public are requested to avoid these routes during the aforementi­oned timings,” added the police.
