RANVEER’S BRAND, BAJAA AND BARAAT CHARGES

The actor is currently the most sought after Bollywood star for endorsements

Ranveer Singh is in great demand. Apart from acting in films — his last film was Jayeshbhai Jordaar and his next is Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Pre Kahaani — he posed in the buff for Paper magazine, walked the ramp on several occasions and was seen dancing at a weddings too. He has also been endorsing a bevy of products, making truckloads of money.

“Ranveer charges around `7 crore for a single day endorsement shoot for any brand. When the brand is much bigger, he drops his numbers significantly as he’s keen to associate with them — like Bridgestone or Spotify. Otherwise his billing is similar. With regard to hosting a function, it depends on who is calling him. If it’s a big award function, the costs will be significantly lower as they are also a necessity to Ranveer’s brand image. It goes up to `2 crore as there is a lot of preparation, rehearsals... to host an event. For ribbon cuttings, it could go up to a crore,” says a source.

Last year Ranveer was seen dancing at a wedding in Delhi and he was reportedly paid over `2 crore for what was more of a barely rehearsed jib, but his energy and enthusiasm levels made up for any lack of practice.

Now to the photoshoot. “Normally Indian actors do not charge any money for photoshoots like how it happens in the west. In the case of Ranveer, it was more a case of artistic expression kind of thing, so he did not charge any money for it, but yes the magazine had to bear the costs of the stylist, designer and make up and hair for Ranveer. In fact the costliest thing at the photoshoot was the Jaipur Rug in which Ranveer

was lying down, which cost `6.6 lakh. Also one has to understand that this is the same magazine that has had the likes of Kanye West, Harry Styles, Travis Scott and BTS being featured and hence it was more of the exposure,” says our source. Ranveer was happy to be associated with it.
