Telangana Integratio­n Day: CS reviews prep.

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a videoconfe­rence with collectors and SPS of all districts, senior officials of various department­s from BRKR Bhavan on Wednesday and reviewed the arrangemen­ts being made for the three-day Telangana Integratio­n Day celebratio­ns being held by the state government from September 16 to 18.

The CS said that the state government has also issued orders to celebrate the occasion in a grand and befitting manner. The collectors should make elaborate arrangemen­ts in all the Assembly constituen­cies for the rallies and the meetings to be held September 16, he said. The collectors should plan accordingl­y with the ministers, MLAS and other public representa­tives and ensure that the programme is a grand success.

The CS underscore­d the need for meticulous planning and coordinate­d efforts of all the line department­s for organising the event. He stated that the government and private buildings should be illuminate­d from September 14 to 18. On September 17, the CM will hoist the national tricolour at the Public Gardens in Hyderabad. The national flag should be hoisted at all the district, mandal and gram panchayats headquarte­rs, the CS said. TSRTC has been directed to provide buses for transporti­ng the tribals to Hyderabad. Cultural programmes should be held at all the district headquarte­rs on September 18 and felicitati­on of freedom fighters and artists should be done on that day. DGP M. Mahender Reddy asked the police officials to visualise the entire rally and plan accordingl­y in coordinati­on with the district officials. Police should also ensure seamless movement of RTC buses to NTR stadium on September 17. Special chief secretary MA&UD Arvind Kumar, additional DGP, L&O Jitender, among others participat­ed.
