BJP has collected huge black money via bonds: Ponnam

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that the BJP collected thousands of crores of black money in the form of donations under quid pro quo for political gains and was deceiving the people of the country.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was encouraging black money in the country by saying that the political parties could collect donations through the electoral bond scheme, which was scrapped by the Supreme Court.

The minister visited various lord Sri Rama temples in the Husnabad constituency and took part in the Rama Navami celebrations across the Karimnagar district on Wednesday and extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion.

Later, speaking to the media, Prabhakar alleged that Sharat Chandra Reddy, one of the accused in the Delhi liquor scam, got bail since he gave `500 crores to the BJP as a donation.

Another person donated `100 crores to the party after he got a contract from the government. The Supreme Court also warned the BJP over its actions regarding the donations in large numbers in the form of electoral bonds. Instead of taking action against the persons who have black money, the BJP was collecting that money in the form of bonds. When the black money reaches the BJP does it turn into white money, he asked.

Ponnam said that the BJP'S graph had fallen drastically in north India and the I.N.D.I.A. alliance would register a massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections and the Congress would give good governance in the country with the blessings of the Lord Sri Rama.

The minister, along with his family members and Congress in charge of Huzurabad constituency Vodithala Pranav Kumar, offered prayers at Ellanthakunta Sri Ramalayam in Huzurabad. He alleged that the BRS government failed to develop the famous Ellanthakunta temple.
