INTERNATIO­NAL KITE FESTIVAL

Makar Sankranti is known for flying kites but the Internatio­nal Kite Festival takes it a few notches higher. Every year, there are millions of brightly coloured kites taking over the sky, aerial acrobats leaving onlookers awestruck, and battles between kite flyers making it all super fun. Back on the ground, there are kite painting competitio­ns and kite making workshops. Glowing lanterns soaring high in the night sky is an added delight. No wonder, the festival sees kite flyers flying in from all corners of the world, and thousands of visitors flocking the city from all over India.
