• Visit the ancient caves

Ensconced amidst Deccan forests, the Aurangabad Caves take you to the early Buddhist era. Once done, visit the famous sites of Ajanta and Ellora Caves right outside the city. Sculptures, folklores and more—the caves of Aurangabad are not to be missed.

• Shop for Paithani silk

Aurangabad is famous for its handwoven silk. Don’t forget to pick the ever-so-beautiful Paithani and Himroo silk saris that the city has been forever known for.

• Climb up the Daulatabad fort Scaling your way up thousands of crumbly stairs and through murky pathways may not seem like a great idea at first, but wait till you make it to the top—the panoramic view will leave you fulfilled. Beware of the bats and monkeys though.

• Wander through the town Merely strolling the streets of a city that lives in the past has a lot to give. Soak in the antiquity—the people, their homes and living are simple yet engaging.
