Revel With The Locals At Hola Mohalla

Punjab

-

In the three days following the festival of Holi, an electric atmosphere grips the historic town of Anandpur Sahib. Sikhs turn on the festivities, wearing colourful turbans, wielding their traditional weapons, and putting on a display of special martial art techniques for Hola Mohalla—a festival that exhibits mock fights. Meals are consumed in large groups, and are served to all visitors free of cost, as per the tradition across gurudwaras. Take out time to visit Virasat-e-Khalsa, a state-ofthe-art museum of Sikh history, and Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahi.
