Stroll On Virgin Islands
Andaman & Nicobar Islands
An archipelago flung far off the eastern coast, the Andaman islands are known for its white sand beaches, abundant marine life and a peek into our colonial legacy. Of its 500-odd islands are the twin islands of Ross and Smith, connected by an 800-metre-long sandbar and a sight of breathtaking beauty, only a 15-minute boat ride from Diglipur. The sandbar waxes wanes during the day, disappearing under the sea during high and low tides. Walk from one island to the other flanked by clear, turquoise water, or go for a swim. There is almost no infrastructure here, and the number of visitors at any time is limited, thus enhancing the feeling of being marooned in an otherworldly place. October to April is a good time to visit.
