The city of love had started its affair with Jazz during the First World War, after the conclusion of which it saw the genre reached its peak here. With Jazz artists settling down in this city bustling with all forms of art, Paris saw a rise of Jazz clubs and cabarets.

It has retained the Jazz culture and over time, the sound has diversified from Bossanova to avant-garde. Paris hosts some of the most famous Jazz festivals, like Banlieues Bleues Jazz Festival, Festival Jazz a Saint-Germain-des-Pres and the Paris Jazz Festival. The city is also famous for some of the top-rated Jazz clubs of the world, such as New Morning and Autour de Midi…et Minuit, which tells a lot about the Jazz spirit retained by the city.
