The company fears the leak of a database of around 3.1 million car owners. The hackers supposedly had access to the data of Toyota as well as Lexus customers. Hackers had breached into the IT system and were able to take out information even about the subsidiaries - Toyota Tokyo Sales Holdings, Toyota Tokyo Motor, Toyota Tokyo Corolla, Nets Toyota Tokyo, Lexus Koishikawa Sales, and Toyota West Tokyo Corolla.
