WWarm greetings from Rocheston!

In the July issue of Distinguished, we take a look at some interesting stories from across the cyberspace. When Artificial Intelligence (AI) is combined with Threat Intelligence (TI), it yields multiple benefits. This is what is being emphasized by Steve Grobman, senior vice-president and chief technology officer (CTO) at McAfee and Distinguished has the inside story. We discuss cyberattacks that have impacted industries. A hacker named Gnosticplayers, who previously claimed to have sold massive chunks of data in the dark web in three rounds, is back with a new set of databases breached from a total of six websites. We see how aluminum giant of Norway, Norsk Hydra, revealed that it was forced to shut down because of a disruption caused due to a ransomware attack.

In this month’s Innovation and Technology sections we discuss the challenges faced in hiring skilled professionals, in an ever demanding industry. Facebook is all set to launch their cryptocurrency called Facebook Coin. Does this new development signify the biggest boon to the unstable crypto community, or does it imply an impending doom? We toss the coin.

The agricultural industry is expected to increase to 60% by 2030, and there is no doubt that technology has helped this industry grow in productivity and efficiency. As the world’s population seems to be overflowing from its seams, farmers and food producers need to look at digital farming with an all new perspective.

All this, and a lot more to look forward to as Distinguished moves forward digging deeper into the cybersecurity domain. We hope the package of ideas, articles and images will engage your reading appetite, and leave you craving for more.
