TAAPSEE-BHUMI: SHOOTING GAMES?

DNA (Daily News & Analysis) Mumbai Edition - - FRONT PAGE -

There is a healthy rivalry building up between Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, say trade sources. Recently, the former lost the role of Vidya Sinha to the latter in the remake of Pati Patni Aur Woh (PPAW, 1978). Taapsee being the straight forward person that she is, made her displeasure evident. While the makers denied approaching her at all, it seems that the Pink actress was very much in the reckoning till the Lust Stories star came along. It’s another thing that the two girls are professional and continue to prep for the filming of Anurag Kashyap’s Saand Ki Aankh, based on two women shooters from Uttar Pradesh. However, one hears that there are reportedly some thandathanda vibes between these two after the PPAW incident. Guess the guns they use in the Tusshar Hiranandani directorial will not be the only things spewing fire on the set.
