ACTOR MAHESH ANAND PASSES AWAY AT 57
Mahesh Anand, who played the villain in many films in the ’80s and ’90s, passed away on February 9. The 57-yearold actor was found dead in his Andheri flat. As the cause of his death was not clear, a postmortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Mahesh, who shared screen space with eminent actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol among others, was last seen in the recently-released Rangeela Raja, which was helmed by Pahlaj Nihalani and starred Govinda. His previous works also include Shahenshah (1988), Thanedaar (1990), Swarg (1990), Gumrah (1993), Coolie No 1 (1995), Toofan (1989), Vishwatma (1992) and Vijeta (1996) to name a few. May his soul rest in peace.
