Four of a family, including 1-year-old dead
Gurugram: Three of a family were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence in Pataudi’s Brijpura village on Wednesday night. While a woman was found hanging, the two others were lying in a pool of blood. When the police reached the house, a oneyear-old baby girl was also lying unconscious on the floor. All of them had injury marks on their bodies. A case of murder has been registered, the police said.
According to the police, a call was received around 9 pm from Brijpura village about four bodies found inside a house. Bodies of Manish (28), his mother Phoolwati (62) were found in a pool of blood with deep cuts inflicted with a sharpedged weapon. Manish’s wife Pinki (24) was, however, was found hanging with injury marks on her hands and feet.
When the police reached the house, one-year-old Charu was alive but unconscious. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Police officials are investigating if Pinki killed the three and later committed suicide. However, the role of an outsider is not being ruled out as Pinki had injury
marks on her body and the door of the house was ajar.
Investigating officials suggested that if Pinki had killed them all then it is a strange scenario as no one heard any cries for help. The brother of the deceased said that the family members were cordial and had no such issues so as to take this extreme step.
The bodies were discovered by neighbours who found the door of the house open. When they went inside the house, they saw Manish and Phoolwati in a pool of blood. The police were informed. ACP (Pataudi) Veer Singh said, “We are investigating the case. The forensics team has inspected the crime scene and reports are awaited to get down to the nitty-gritty.”
