Shah added that the party will go to every part of the state to register its protest against the ruling state government’s “reign of terror”. “In the state where tunes of Rabindra sangeet once resonated, now people hear the sound of bomb blasts,” he said, adding that the TMC government was protecting the mafia working in every sector – from cattle to coal.

He accused Banerjee of indulging in appeasement politics by “imposing restrictions” on Durga immersion and Ram Navami celebrations, saying this has driven the people of the state to push for “paribartan (change)”.
