DNA Sunday (Mumbai) - - THE STORY -

Rahul Gaonkar was allegedly thrashed by two people and his bike was set on fire following a minor accident on the Andheri-Kurla Road. Gaonkar told the police that his bike had merely touched the car, but the two men flew into such a rage that they started thrashing him even when he tried to apologise. “We are adopting all possible means to curb road rage accidents. The officers are taking all possible steps like checks on drink-and-drive, nakabandi and search of vehicles across important junctions.” “CCTV cameras installed across the city, lanes and junctions are working well and they have helped to track any such incidents,” says Manjunath Shinge, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations.
