New Delhi: A day after the exit poll predicted a neck and neck fight between the BJP and the Congress in the Hindi heartland, leaders of the two parties were seen either relaxing or engaged in hectic meetings to draw plans for the big result day of December 11 on Saturday.

Senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was on a three-day-long holiday to Bandhavgarh with his family, on Saturday appeared to be looking quite relaxed and confident. The MP Chief Minister had a jungle safari in Bandhavgarh and went on a picnic with his family. Chouhan and his wife, together, were seen preparing chapatis inside the jungle.

Chouhan’s arch rival and Madhya Pradesh PCC president Kamal Nath left for Kedarnath. He will return to Bhopal on the counting day, i.e. December 11.

Chouhan, along with wife Sadhna and two daughters, visited the famous Bagulamukhi temple in Datia and offered prayers there.

“I myself am a psephologist. We are getting majority. We will form the government for the fourth time,” a sanguine Chouhan said disagreeing with most of the exit polls which have predicted a Congress win the state.

“The BJP government has always stood with the public, the poor, farmers and downtrodden. My government has

been with the people day and night. In return, the people of Madhya Pradesh gave their support to my party,” he said, while leaving for Datia from Bandhavgarh.

The Chief Minister, who reached Bandhavgarh on Wednesday, stayed in the Taj resort for two days and spent the third day at his Cabinet Minister Sanjay Pathak’s Birholi farm house.

In a clean break from the predictions posed by different exit polls, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh watched a movie with his family. Following a hectic schedule, Singh has been relaxing for the last two days after he came back from the election tour in Telangana. On Friday, the Chhattisgarh CM met poll managers and party candidates.
