2018 Europe summer forecast shows intense heat to seize France to Germany; fierce storms to hit Poland, Italy and Romania. Parts of eastern Europe will be at a higher risk of drought as the summer heat builds this year, says AccuWeather, a commercial weather forecasting agency. As summer progresses, the heat will also fuel a high risk of wildfires from France into Germany and the Alps. Frequent occurrences of thunderstorms will dampen outdoor plans and elevate the threat of flooding from southern Italy into the southern Balkan Peninsula throughout the summer. Sweltering heat will build across parts of western and central Europe throughout the summer months.
