No single-use plastic, please
This is with reference to the article "Breaching the threshold" (1-15 June, 2018). Despite the ban on single-use plastic items such as bags and water bottles, their usage has only increased with impunity—knowing fully well that plastic is one of the causes for environmental degradation. Most of the plastic items never get recycled because they are thrown away carelessly by the user. Further, because a lot of it is non-biodegradable, it poses a danger to the environment, marine life, as well as both human and animal lives. On World
Environment Day this year, let us all pledge to say no to single-use plastics to save our environment and forests.
