Once a small dusty agricultural village, Gurgaon has now emerged to become the city with the third highest per capita income in India. Popularly known as Millennium city Gurgaon has the presence of about 250 or 50% of the Fortune 500 companies. Gurgaon’s landscape also comes under National Capital Region (NCR).Gurgaon is located in Gurgaon district in the Indian state of Haryana and is situated in the south eastern part of the state.
Gurgaon is a fast growing city due to presence of many industries and also welcoming new industries on regular basis. The IT sector is also growing at a fast rate and supports the process of development.

Gurgaon is a home for many big industries but the industry which came earlier in Gurgaon and had supported Gurgaon to made it a metro city is Maruti Suzuki India Limited which came in 1970s. Apna Bazar, Bhargav Palace and Sec-14 market are the major markets. But after the birth of online market the crowd is less here now days. People choose online over offline due to difference in prices and varieties this became reason for many retailers to shut down their businesses.
It is here that Bhupesh Malhotra , President, Gurgaon IT traders association (GITTA) quips, “We are listening a lot about fake products or improper service given by online market to consumers, but we cannot do anything in it it’s on costumers themselves that where to believe and where no to as retail market gives better services as compare to online market till now”.
