Lenovo offers complete portfolio
In a candid interaction with the DQ Channels, Ashok, Geeta Monitors highlights Lenovo’s contribution in the growth of Geeta Monitors commercial business in India
How was the performance of Geeta Monitors in the FY 2016? What were your key growth drivers during the financial year?
Ashok: We have had 6% of growth Y-O-Y. For 2017, we have set our targets and working towards achieving our goals. Our key growth areas are Storage and security, which we are aggressively focusing on. What are your products and solutions offerings? How does the portfolio contribute to Shree IT Solution’s revenues?
Ashok: We deal with Servers, Storage, Security, Software and Services. Apart from this, we also supply regular infrastructure products. We owe 20% of our revenue increase from Storage portfolio and achieved approx 65% of what we did last year. What are the growing segments in your business? Which business verticals do you address?
Ashok: Within our business, the Server and Storage segments are growing. We are also focusing more on Security segment. We largely cater to SMEs and very few large enterprises. How will you analyse the overall growth of IT business?
Ashok: Nowadays, IT business is booming in the Storage segment as demand for data is growing. The industry is also looking to expand on their Cloud and Server business. We have expanded into South Zone and we are also looking at government business. How is your alignment with Lenovo?
Ashok: We have a long standing relationship with Lenovo, since the IBM acquisition days. We are aligned with the entire Commercial portion of their offering along with some Consumer products. What are the key transformations you have observed in Lenovo’s server business strategy post IBM’s X86 Server Business acquisition?
Ashok: Lenovo is a channel friendly company. Lots of changes has happened post the business acquisition. Lenovo offers a complete portfolio, which addresses all requirements. How will you rate Lenovo’s Enterprise Channel program? How will you differentiate it from the other prominent vendors you are aligned with? What is the scope for improvement in Lenovo’s Enterprise Channel policy? Ashok: Overall policies of Lenovo is great in comparison to other competing brands. Lenovo has everything in its portfolio and its channel program is really beneficiary to its partners. What are the key thrust areas in the FY17? What are your business strategies for expansion?
Ashok: We will continue with Storage segment as we see an increase in the demand. We are also looking to work on Government projects especially in the Southern region.
