CHENNAI: Teynampet police have arrested a 26-year-old man for ramming his car into his girlfriend’s friend in front of a star hotel in Nungambakkam.

M Ali Mohammed (26), who is into hotel management, went to the pub at a star hotel near Pondy Bazaar on Sunday night with his friends G Mansoor (26) and M Shaadi (28). When they stepped out around 4.30 am, Ali Mohammed allegedly bumped into his friend Sumitra (22) (name changed), who was pubbing there. Ali Mohamed took the woman, a private firm employee staying at a women’s hostel, to another pub at Nungambakkam in a hired cab.
