Girl sexually assaulted; parents petition SP

TIRUCHY: The parents of a minor girl from Pachamalai, who was reportedly sexually assaulted, has approached the Superintendent of Police here, demanding to instruct the inspector of Musiri to register a case against the culprit.

The minor, differently-abled girl from Pachamalai hillock area, was reportedly sexually assaulted by one Prathap with the promise of marriage a few months back and the girl became pregnant.

Prathap deserted her and reportedly avoided talking to her.

Since Prathap avoided the girl and refused to marry, the parents approached the Musiri All Women police station and lodged a complaint against him. However, the inspector was not ready to register a case. Despite repeated appeal, the inspector failed to register a case.

Subsequently, on Thursday, the parents approached Superintendent of Police Zia Ul Haq and lodged a complaint and urged to instruct the inspector to register a case against Prathap.
