Ramadoss cuts short DMK’s celebrations over Arasakumar’s pat for Stalin

-

CHENNAI: PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss has cut short the celebrations of the DMK which has been rejoicing celebrating state BJP vice president BT Arasakumar declaring that MK Stalin would be the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Minutes after Arasakumar caught his party men off guard on Sunday, Ramadoss released a letter on social media, claiming to be written by a former DMK MLA appreciating him.

The letter posted on Ramadoss’ official Facebook page early Sunday afternoon lauded the PMK founder for emphasising the use of Tamil in the official communication of the state police. The letter which lauds the PMK founder for running the party like a university also generously appreciates the haste with which Ramadoss rakes up public welfare related issues.

As much as the PMK founder has chosen to keep the identity of the DMK MLA anonymous, the principal opposition party has also not cared to react to the claim of the PMK founder who has been their bitterest critic. However, the letter has raised curiosity among DMK members who were speculating on the identity of the silent admirer of the PMK.

Meanwhile, the state BJP has issued a diktat to its state vice president for going against the party line and supporting the DMK. An official statement reportedly issued by the BJP has put an embargo on Arasakumar representing the party in media debates and party functions. Understandably, the two incidents have fueled speculations about the BJP vice president and an anonymous DMK ex-legislator changing loyalties.
