College student on two-wheeler run over by truck near Ponneri

CHENNAI: A 20-year-old college student was killed after a truck rammed his two-wheeler near Ponneri on Wednesday evening. The deceased V Vishwa of Arasur village, a firstyear BSc student of a government college in Ponneri, was riding his two-wheeler on Panchetti Road near Durga Nagar when a truck carrying coal to Gummidipoondi rammed his two-wheeler from behind and ran over Vishwa, killing him on the spot. On information, Ponneri police rushed to the spot and sent his body to Government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
