Plaint against Khushbu for ‘mentally retarded’ remark

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers (TARATDAC) had lodged a complaint at Nungambakkam police station against actor-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar who recently switched sides from Congress party to the BJP and remarked Congress as ‘brainless and unthinking party’. Though Khushbu later apologised for criticising Congress as a ‘mentally retarded’ party, her comments turned into a major point of discussion on social media. After the Association of Persons with Disabilities lodged a complaint with the police against Khushbu in Madurai more complaints started pouring in against her. Chennai police said a complaint was received against the actor and further course of action will be decided soon.
