Bengal bizman dies of cardiac arrest at airport
CHENNAI: A 73-year-old man died of cardiac arrest before boarding his flight to Kolkata at the airport here on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as Shibdas, a businessman from West Bengal. Shibdas, who was suffering from cancer, came for treatment at the Vellore CMC a two weeks ago. On Friday, he was discharged from the hospital and reached the Chennai airport for boarding 7 pm Spicejet flight. Around 6 pm, he was standing in the queue for security checkup when he developed chest pain and fell unconscious. The airport medical team who rushed to the spot checked Shibdas and declared him died of sudden cardiac arrest. The airport police sent the body for post-mortem and informed his family in West Bengal.
