As soon as the meeting commenced, the designated officer asked the participating owners to introduce themselves and each one started to introduce themselves.

While the introduction of the owners was in progress, a DMK functionary and ex-municipal councilor Pari alias Abdul Farook who runs ‘Ya Ya’ tea stall at Palakkarai in Perambalur started introducing himself.

Since Abdul Farook was in DMK dhoti, the officer Sowmya was reportedly irritated and asked him why he had come with the party dhoti in the meeting and Farook had reportedly responded that it was his usual dress and he was in the practice of wearing the party dhoti everywhere.

“I am not afraid of both AIADMK and DMK. I know R Vaithilingam as well as MK Stalin,” she said and turned to Farook and asked, “Do you want me to talk to Stalin?”

Annoyed by this, Farook retaliated and told the officials not to insult him as well as the DMK. “Why do you have an aversion for DMK? I have come to participate in the meeting as an owner and do not use unwanted words,” Farook said.

This resulted in a heated argument between the official and Farook while the other participants intervened and brought the situation under control.

Later, Farook told the reporters that the official was referring to everyone with singular words from the beginning of the meeting and was threatening not only the DMK but also the AIADMK.
