TV reporter murdered by land mafia, 4 held

Police arrested four persons, including a minor, for brutally murdering a reporter of a private television channel in front of his house near Somangalam on Sunday night. Police sources said, a few months ago, the TV reporter had tried to telecast news about a group that sells government plots illegally in Puthu Nalloor and the local rowdies had then threatened to eliminate him. After protests by kin and colleagues, Somangalam police, who had registered a case, later nabbed the accused.
