8 sovereigns snatched from woman in Avadi

A bike-borne miscreant snatched eight sovereigns from a woman in Avadi in broad daylight on Wednesday. The victim M Sripriya (28) of Raj Bhai Nagar in Avadi was walking towards a tailoring institute in the neighbourhood around 11 am when a man on a bike followed her and snatched her two chains weighing six and two sovereigns. Based on her complaint, Avadi police registered a case and launched a hunt for suspects with the help of CCTV footage.
