The 2-day Daily Thanthi Edu Expo promises to be the best avenue to learn more about higher education
It is that time of the year when students who have just finished their Class 12 board examinations and their parents are under tremendous pressure while deciding the right higher education course to pursue.
For all of them, the decision they take now will have a direct and definite impact on the children’s future. But it is not an easy choice to make, considering the plethora of choices available and also because the interests and aptitudes of each student are different.

The two-day event will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam on April 2 and 3. The group has been organising the event for several years now, making it an important event in the annual calendar for the youth who are keen to understand the possibilities that await them in the future.

At the expo organised by the Daily Thanthi group, the largest media house in Tamil Nadu, more than 70 colleges will be taking part. Representatives from these institutions will be present to clear any doubts that students and their parents may have about the colleges and universities and also the courses.
The higher education experts who are taking part in the exhibition will also provide important information with regard to various courses that will offer youngsters a better chance of landing a high-paying and meaningful career with leading companies across the world.
The academicians attending the event will counsel students on choosing the right course, explain the syllabus of each course, and the job opportunities available in the government and private sectors. Beyond choosing the right course, students can also find out more about the admission process at different colleges and deemed-to-be universities, fee structure, scholarships and concessions they can avail, education loans and eligibility criteria among other details.
Most of the leading colleges in Tamil Nadu will participate in the event, which will enable visitors, including students and parents, to clear their doubts about future prospects. The colleges and universities will showcase their specialities and courses. After getting an understanding about them, the aspirants will be able to decide which course to pursue.
The exhibition will help the students, who want to pursue varied courses such as engineering, arts and science, agriculture, and catering. It will also help them get counselling from leading educationists from across the country. In addition, the fair will also have detailed information about the courses that would offer immediate job opportunities.
This education expo will be useful not only for Class 12 students but also benefit students going to Class 11, as experts would advise them about the academic requirements (subjects to be studied and minimum marks) to become eligible for the courses they aspire to study. Apart from the institutions in India, the expo will enable students to find out more about the opportunities for higher studies abroad, preparations and requirements.
