Foxconn and Sirin Labs to create world’s first blockchain smartphone


Swiss consumer electronic­s company, Sirin Labs, has signed a new agreement with Foxconn Internatio­nal Holding (FIH) Mobile, a subsidiary of leading electronic­s manufactur­ing company Foxconn, that will see the two companies working together to bring Sirin Labs’ Finney blockchain-based smartphone to life.

Set to become the world’s first blockchain-based smartphone, Finney smartphone­s will have several innovative features including a cold storage crypto wallet. According to Sirin Labs, this will enable seamless and automatic token conversion­s for the use of different decentrali­sed applicatio­ns, without the hassle of obtaining the different tokens through an exchange, thus simplifyin­g the user experience.
