All the promoters of the company are from business families, with experience of over 40 years in the semiconductor domain. The company was established in 1986, the brain child of professionals with experience in the diverse fields of electronics and engineering goods. The company’s vision has been to offer excellent quality, quantity and after sales services.

In a very short time frame, the company has developed a wide distribution network all over India, with offices in key cities. It also has an advanced testing centre to maintain the highest quality standards. The group has two hightech manufacturing plants of its own. The state-of-art technology used in these plants ensures the production of the best engineering goods, based on the customer’s requirements.

The group has its complete infrastructure of warehouses for storage and packing. This gives the group an edge over the competition when it comes to providing the highest quality product for the overseas markets. The group has also been able to develop a strong network in the domestic market.

Although the parent group, Insel Rectifiers (India) or IRI, has been a leading player in the semiconductor market for more than 25 years, the new company, Bildal Electricals Pvt Ltd, was started in 1986 to cater to the requirements of the Ministry of Civil Aviation as well as the Indian Air Force. Within a short span of time, the company started manufacturing selenium rectifiers. A pragmatic business sense and a professional approach have helped the company become a leading manufacturer of semiconductors in India.

With the urge to expand, the semiconductor division of the group developed diodes, thyristors, modules and bridge rectifiers. The group further expanded its operations into making cables for missile launchers, batteries for wireless systems and flash lights for the Indian Air Force.

In 2013, IRI joined hands with Dean Technologies, one of the biggest names in the semiconductor industry in the US. This enabled it to acquire excellent skills, taking IRI’s manufacturing capabilities to a higher level. Today, IRI ships US$ 1 million worth of exports to Dean Technologies.
