Daikoku Innovations making inroads in Healthtech
Daikoku Innovations (Daikoku), a Bangalore headquartered burgeoning product design services company with a strong presence across Communications, Industrial, Consumer, Medical and Automotive segments is now creating a niche in Healthtech with healthcare wearables.
The COVID-19 scenario over the last year and current year has brought out the importance of monitoring critical health parameters of individuals remotely and also on-the-go. The periodic or continuous monitoring of parameters like Sp O 2, temperature, E CG, heart-rate, PP G etc. has become necessary in the current times to ensure timely medical intervention when these parameters aren’t up to the mark. We have an entire demographic for which the risk needs to be mitigated.
Broadly one can classify the demographic as follows 1. The senior citizens.
2. The children or minors.
3. Post COVID-19 patients.
4. Healthy and active individuals.
5. People with comorbidities.
There definitely will be overlaps in the above classification, but the idea is to create various healthcare wearable products catering to these people. Daikoku is well positioned to create products catering to the above demographic.
“We at Daikoku are adept at creating healthcare wearables that are of top-notch quality, because of the skills in industrial design, mechanical design and deep knowledge in embedded design that includes hardware, software and firmware. We can couple that with our strong manufacturing partners and deliver a complete product that can be taken to market.”, says Sanket Bandyopadhyay, Co-Founder, Vice-President, Worldwide Sales & Marketing at Daikoku Innovations.
The healthcare wearable remains incomplete without it having a gateway to communicate. This has to be a closed-loop system so that the medical data is actionable. Daikoku has the technology to get the wearable to talk to the cloud via a gateway. They tailor make the communication part as per the customers’ requirements.
Sriharsha Desai, Co-Founder, General Manager –
Embedded says, “We have highly optimized designs using ultra low power controllers. This results in extracting the maximum juice from the healthcare wearable’s battery. Our design runs for weeks on a single charge.”
Founder, President Sudarshan NS says, “We have a meticulous process in place, because we also plan for FDA approvals for the healthcare wearables as we start the design process. There clearly is a market for healthcare wearables and it will become a necessary accessory for many very soon.”
Daikoku puts in a good amount of energy into industrial design, because though this is a healthcare wearable segment, the look and feel of the product is also of great importance. There is consumer flair to this because the user will be wearing it for prolonged periods and the product must have a chic look.
Duc Ngo, a bay-area technologist holding 27 U.S. patents and an advisor to Daikoku says, “Going forward, healthcare wearables will be a part of the daily lives of many across the globe. Daikoku is well-positioned to develop a variety of products in the healthcare wearable segment.”
Harsha Mutt, serial-entrepreneur, business mentor and leadership coach and Daikoku’s advisor says, “Healthtech is an exciting space at this moment, and the Daikoku team is an extremely passionate, dedicated, dependable, competent, and customer focussed one, with high aspirations and looks poised to make a big contribution to all stakeholders"
