Dr Anand Agarwal stepping down as STL’s CEO
STL announced that Dr Anand Agarwal will be stepping down as CEO and Director of the company, with effect from 2nd December 2021, to pursue his personal interests.
The Board of Directors has accepted his resignation and appointed Ankit Agarwal as the new Managing Director of the company with immediate effect. The company will be run by a management committee comprising the MD, CFO, CHRO, and CCO who will take the key decisions collectively under the guidance of the Board and the Chairman.
Arun Kumar Mishra is now the CEO at EESL
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of public sector undertakings under Ministry of Power, has announced the appointment of Arun Kumar Mishra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on deputation. He will be responsible for EESL’s operations across the nation. Mishra is a veteran in the energy sector, with more than three decades of experience in National Thermal Power Corporation and Power Grid Corporation of India.
Jayant Patil of L&T is the first Chairman of ISpA
Jayant Patil, Whole Time Director - Defence & Smart Technologies, L&T-NxT, is the first Chairman of the newly-formed Indian Space Association (IspA); Rahul Vatts, Chief Regulatory Officer of Bharti Airtel and Director - OneWeb India, is the Vice Chairman. Lt Gen. A.K. Bhatt (Retd) is the Director General of the Association. ISpA, the premier industry association of space and satellite companies, was launched by the Prime Minister of India on 11th October.
Eric Braganza appointed as CEAMA President
Haier Appliances India head Eric Braganza has been appointed as President of the Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) for a two-year term. Braganza succeeds Godrej Appliances Business Head and Executive Vice-President Kamal Nandi for the CEAMA chair. While outlining his priorities as CEAMA President, Braganza said he will work closely with the government to grow the domestic market across all key product categories in the appliances industry.
NXP Semiconductors has a new CFO and EVP
NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NXP) announced that Bill Betz has been named NXP’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Betz, formerly Senior Vice President - Business Finance for NXP, replaces Peter Kelly, who—as announced this February— has decided to retire from NXP. Betz will report directly to NXP President and Chief Executive Officer Kurt Sievers.
