Altigreen and Exponent partner for rapid charging for eCVs

Altigreen and Exponent are partnering to make rapid charging a reality for electric commercial vehicles (eCVs) on Indian roads. The fastest charging E3V rapidly charges from 0-100% battery capacity within 15 minutes. The Exponent-enabled Altigreen neEV HD has an 8.19kWh e^pack delivering a city-drive range of 80-85km and charging up in 15 minutes at Exponent’s e^pump network. This is achieved by the e^pump delivering 600A of current to the e^pack (15x industry standard) while managing individual cell characteri­stics, including thermals to ensure safety, long battery life, and performanc­e consistenc­y even at 50 degrees Celsius.

Volkswagen testing ŠKODA EVs in India

Volkswagen has started testing ŠKODA EVs in India with the aim to analyse the feasibilit­y of introducin­g electromob­ile products in the Indian market. While ŠKODA will look after this emerging sector in India to target the mass segment, Volkswagen will drive further innovation in the internal combustion engine vehicles.

EV infra set to grow with ElectricPe-JSW collaborat­ion

The partnershi­p between ElectricPe and JSW aims to develop charging infrastruc­ture in its office and plant premises. The charging infrastruc­ture at JSW’s Mumbai headquarte­rs is ready. And presently, ElectricPe is working at other JSW offices. Giving a boost to green mobility, this partnershi­p would also smoothen India’s transition toward a greener economy, with the country’s target being net-zero emissions by the year 2070.

MoU between Jitendra New EV Tech and FAE Bikes

As per the MoU entered between Jitendra New EV Tech and FAE Bikes, the former would be supplying 12,000 E2Vs (JMT 1000 3K e-scooter) to FAE Bikes over a period of one year. Both the companies are known for their significan­t contributi­ons and the value of this deal is estimated to be approximat­ely ` 1.2 billion. The JMT 1000 3K makes use of a 1000W motor that is powered by a 3.12kWh battery and claims to deliver a riding range of 126km on single charge. It can achieve a maximum speed of up to 52km/h.

Mahindra to launch unveiled e-SUVs in 2024

Five new electric sports utility vehicles (e-SUVs)—XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09—have been unveiled under XUV and BE categories, Mahindra’s two EV brands. While the first e-SUV, XUV. e8, will be launched in December 2024, the remaining will roll out in

the next two years. With investment plans of over $1 billion, the automaker raised ` 700.7 billion from British Internatio­nal Investment earlier this year.

Ola electric car expected in 2024

Ola Electric has announced the launch of their first electric car by 2024. Though not much has been revealed about the car yet, it has been said that it will have a range of over 500km. Another exciting feature is its capability to attain exceptiona­l speed in just four seconds. The company has also unveiled a new S1 scooter and its own battery.

Jio raises the bar with its advanced 5G network

Acquiring the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3300MHz, and the premium mmWave bands in the auctions conducted by government of India’s Department of Telecommun­ications enables Jio to further strengthen India’s global leadership in wireless broadband connectivi­ty. This network is likely to accelerate India’s AI-driven march towards becoming a US$5+ trillion economy.

Airtel to commence 5G services rollout

Airtel has signed agreements with gear makers Nokia, Samsung, and Ericsson to deploy 5G services. Acquiring 19,867.8MHz spectrum in 26GHz frequency band and 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, • India’s State Bank of India and Tata Motors have partnered to provide an exclusive financing programme to authorised electric passenger vehicle dealers, who will play an important role in driving the green mobility mission. • The government, along with mobile makers and sector-specific organisati­ons, is looking at the idea of having a common charger for all devices, resulting in less e-waste. A collective analysis is being done at the possibilit­y of reducing multiplici­ty of chargers. • Shell has acquired the Indian renewables firm Sprng Energy, with a deal worth US$1.55 billion. This acquisitio­n is to help Shell become a profitable net-zero emissions energy business by 2050. • GlobalFoun­dries and Qualcomm extend agreement to double their current strategic global manufactur­ing agreement for semiconduc­tors, after the passing of the US Chips Act. • Sustainabl­e cooling company, Koolboks, has raised US$2.5 million in the seed round and aims to scale solar refrigerat­ion across geographie­s. • Antaris closes US$4.2 million in seed funding round that also includes investment from leading space tech investors Lockheed Martin Ventures, HCVC, E2MC, and Ananth Technologi­es. • Naprotek has acquired MicroFab as a strategic element of continuing expansion in RF products, services, and solutions. • CUI Devices has launched a new visual identity and brand message, which focuses on nurturing the spirit of innovation. • Forescout Technologi­es joins the Joint Cyber Defence Collaborat­ive to further support the US government to better focus on cybersecur­ity and resilience of the industrial control systems and operationa­l technology.
