Perform AI with ARM-based SBC

RSB-3720 a new series of ARM-based SBC in Pico-ITX has been launched from Advantech. Which has NXP ARM Cortex – A53 i.MX8 Plus CPU which consists of Dual as well as Quad cores that can operate up to 1.8 GHz. The Neutral Processing Unit (NPU) operates at up to 2.3 TOPS. Using years of innovation and testing, Advantech’s engineers have designed an SBC that enables 3D/2D graphics acceleration, audio and voice capabilities, video encoding (including H.265), and other multimedia functions. Also, Edge computing can be performed with the help of RSB3720 as an edge gateway for the internet of things (IoT). This SBC, in conjunction with UIO4030, provides 1xRS-485, 1xRS-232, 1x4Dis, and 4DOs, which can easily be deployed in an electric vehicle for the DAQ and display the information over the dashboard. In addition, adding a Wi-Fi module will allow the data to be accessed by mobile applications. It consists of a Nano-SIM slot, m.2 as well as a mini-PCIe slot. Users can able to deploy as an IoT gateway by adding UIO40 – Express along with the help of GC7000UL Graphic Engine which helps in achieving the 2D/3D Graphic Acceleration supporting 1G Pixel/s, Open VG 1.1, OpenGL ES3.1, Vulkan, and Open CL 1.2 FP. The RSB-3720 consists of H/W Video Codecs of Decoder: 1080p60 HEVC/H.265 Main, VP9 Profile 0/2, VP8, AVC/H.264 Baseline/Main/ High. Encoder: 1080p60 AVC/H.264, HEVC/H.265.
