Au­dio clip of ‘op­er­a­tion ka­mala’ goes vi­ral

Ben­galuru: An au­dio con­ver­sa­tion al­legedly be­tween a close associate of BJP leader B Sreer­a­mulu and a busi­ness­man from Dubai went vi­ral on so­cial me­dia re­cently. Ac­cord­ing to sources, this au­dio clip­ping was recorded by the state in­tel­li­gence depart­ment and sub­mit­ted to Chief Min­is­ter H D Ku­maraswamy, who leaked it on pur­pose. In the con­ver­sa­tion, a close associate of B Sreer­a­mulu men­tions that 10 Congress MLAs are ready to quit and that money is re­quired for the same. Later, Congress leader Satish Jarak­i­holi fu­eled the spec­u­la­tion by stat­ing that around 8 Congress MLAs may switch par­ties. In the au­dio clip­ping, it was heard that Rs 25 crores will be paid to all the MLAs, aside from a cabi­net post.

As the au­dio clip went vi­ral, CM HDK re­port­edly spoke to AICC pres­i­dent Rahul Gandhi and sought his help. Later, he rushed to the res­i­dence of JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda and sought his help as well. Mean­while, the BJP has said that the au­dio clip­ping is a fake and a fab­ri­ca­tion. “This clip­ping is the mas­ter work of HDK. He is mis­lead­ing the peo­ple by cre­at­ing these kinds of clip­pings,” al­leged party leader CT Ravi.
