Fol­low guide­lines while cel­e­brat­ing new year

Man­galuru: Po­lice depart­ment has an­nounced that ho­tels, restaurants, clubs, re­sorts and other or­gan­i­sa­tions, which are or­gan­is­ing New Year cel­e­bra­tions should end their pro­gramme be­fore 12 mid night. Po­lice Com­mis­sioner T R Suresh in a press re­lease strictly in­formed that those who ar­range pro­grammes should se­cure per­mis­sion from the Ex­cise Depart­ment and sub­mit the same to the lo­cal po­lice sta­tion. How­ever, the pro­gramme must wind up be­fore mid­night. He also cau­tioned of tak­ing strict ac­tion against those who vi­o­late the guide­lines. The press re­lease also in­formed that spe­cial po­lice teams will be formed to pre­vent un­to­ward in­ci­dents dur­ing the New Year pro­grammes. The team will closely ob­serve the prgrammes, which will be or­gan­ised af­ter se­cur­ing per­mis­sion from the depart­ment. Mean­while, ac­tion will also be taken against those pro­gramme or­gan­ised with­out se­cur­ing per­mis­sion, the press re­lease said.
