TRIUMPH TO UNVEIL BIGGER SCRAMBLER

-

Triumph's ‘Modern Classic' family consists of the most exciting portfolio of premium motorcycles. It already has the 900cc Street Scrambler and now Triumph is set to bring a bigger iteration of the same with the Scrambler 1200.

Judging by the sneak previews, we can expect the Scrambler 1200 to be a more focused version of the genre. Going by appearance of the test mule of which spy shots have been surfacing on the internet, the bike seems to retain the minimalistic design from its other Modern Classic siblings. It has a small LED headlamp above which lies a single-pod-instrument console. Even though it looks a lot like the Bonneville Bobber, the new bike will get flat leather seats to accommodate a pillion rider. And bear in mind that the Scrambler will get off-roading mastery aplenty. It might run on the larger 21-inch off-roading wheels upfront along with long travel suspension to go through rough and mud-filled terrains.

The new Scrambler will be propelled by the same 1200cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin HT motor which we figure will appear in the Bobber state of tune as it allows for better low-down torque, something that will aid in its off-roading credentials. Also expect the Scrambler 1200 to come with switchable ABS like the one found on the baby Street Scrambler

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 will be officially unveiled on October 24 with its global debut likely to happen at EICMA.
