LEFT FOOT RIP
Our North-East escapades have been with the AMT Nexon. It’s like a house help for your driving chores, none of that gear shifting business because, hey, there’s so much to see and drive, why all the extra effort of changing gears. I like changing gears most of the time when driving is the primary objective, but with all the exploration and photography duties, the Nexon’s 6-speed AMT is the perfect Robin. I’m Batman. The point is, it’s one of the faster AMT boxes in the market and goes well with the torque of the diesel motor to offer enough punch between gears to maintain good pace in the twisties and Meghalaya is full of them. On days when the driving is more interesting than the sights, there’s always manual mode to go to.
