WHERE TO STAY
You won’t find many hotels in Nagaland, and especially for the days of the Hornbill Festival, rooms get booked six months in advance. Search of homestays. Air BnB doesn’t have all the listings so get to old-fashioned calling. A friend’s friend might just get you a comfortable home stay. The hosts at the two homestays we stayed at were warm and excellent at hospitality without much experience in the field. Most of the locals are helpful and understand English and Hindi.
