Evo India - - BRIEFING | NEWS -

The fourth generation of the Elantra gets the same 2-litre engine making 150bhp and 192Nm, mated to either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. However it is now BS6 compliant. As of now the Elantra is available only in its petrol guise, with the diesel set to make its entry sometime next year. The biggest change to the Elantra is the new angular styling, in line with the ‘sensual sportiness’ design language with a sharper front end. Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille is now upgraded and the sedan now sports quad projector LED headlamps, which Hyundai claims are the best in this segment, along with LED DRLs. The ten-spoke 16-inch alloys are a new design, as are the LED taillights. The Elantra badging at the rear is just below the Hyundai logo, similar to the Venue and Grand i10 Nios. Another big change is the inclusion of the Bluelink connectivity system, which allows the driver to access a host of features via the Bluelink smartphone app.
