Hero Destini 125

One Hero makes way for the other

IREALLY CANNOT COMPREHEND how the last nine months have flown past. Travelling is what keeps us enthusiasts away from our beloved bikes and cars. But that hasn’t kept me from clocking miles on the Destini. It has been subjected to several Lavasa and Sinhgad rides in addition to the commutes. The Destini, with its under seat stowage and a nice-and-wide footboard is great for my camera equipment. Even the seat is extremely spacious and I haven’t faced any complaints from the pillion as well. But the USP of the Destini has to be its ride quality. I know it’s a given when it comes to all the Heros, but the Destini, despite being a scooter, is extremely pliant. In fact when we pitted it against the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125, we thought it had the best mix of comfortable ride and sporty handling. The i3S system too has been a boon and never did I face any troubles at traffic lights. It works, and works pretty consistently; there have been no glitches whatsoever. What it lacks is outright performance and refinement when compared to other 125cc rivals. But again, the Destini is meant for the family man. Well, I’m no family man but I’ll miss it for sure!L
