Baby Kodiaq comes this year
THE KAROQ IS THE SUCCESSOR to the Yeti and it has finally been confirmed that it will launch in India by mid-2020. We drove it in Prague last year, and what surprised us the most was how familiar everything was, right from its cabin layout, to the fit and finish and even how it drove. It screams Kodiaq in a lot of ways, and that can only be a good thing, because we love the Kodiaq. The Karoq will get the 1.5-litre TSI that churns 148bhp and 250Nm of torque – and unlike the Yeti this will definitely be offered with an automatic transmission. It will have three separate rear seats (like the Yeti), connected car tech and all other trending bells and whistles to tackle the Compass, Harrier and the T-Roc. However, like the Yeti the Karoq will not have a third row. Expect to see it in showrooms by April.
