LAMBORGHINI HURACAN RWD
Lamborghini’s newest Huracan gets the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 mated to a seven-speed ’box from the standard Huracan, albeit detuned to 601bhp and 560Nm. The RWD sprints to 100kmph from standstill in just 3.3 seconds and onto an unchanged top whack of 325kmph.

AUDI A8 L
Audi has launched the long-wheelbase variant of its flagship sedan, the A8 L, priced at 1.56 crore. The luxury sedan is powered by a 3-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine (the only variant available) making 340bhp and 500Nm, and rivals the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the BMW 7 Series.

MERCEDES-BENZ GLE
The fourth-generation GLE sports only minor changes from the previous-gen model, but it certainly looks a lot more premium and packs features like a full LED heads-up display and the MBUX infotainment system, along with safety features like Active Brake Assist which automatically applies the brakes in case of an impending collision. It gets two diesel engines – a 2-litre inlinefour making 252bhp and 500Nm, a 3-litre inline-six making 325bhp and 700Nm – and a 3-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine making 362bhp and 500Nm.

RANGE ROVER EVOQUE
Land Rover’s new ‘baby’ Range Rover now closely resembles the Velar. The front fascia is redesigned, the Matrix LED headlamps and taillamps are now sharper and it also gets the flush door handles seen in the Velar. Powering it will be a range of BS6-compliant inline 4-cylinder Ingenium petrol in three different states of tune – 197bhp, 245bhp and 296bhp, and diesel engines in three different states of power – 148bhp, 177bhp and 237bhp. The base diesel variant gets a 6-speed manual, the rest of the variants are equipped with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

LEXUS LC 500h
After lots of online chatter, and invitations to a drive in Japan, Lexus has finally launched its flagship coupe, the LC 500h in India. The LC 500h (hybrid) gets a 3.5-litre V6 working hand-in-hand with a 132kW electric motor, making a combined 354bhp. However, the highlight of the drivetrain is the 10-speed gearbox!
LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT
The 2020 Discovery Sport is the brand’s second offering based on the brand’s new PTA platform built for better handling and to accommodate electric powertrains. It will run 2-litre petrol and diesel engines under the hood, with the petrol getting a mildelectric hybrid. While the diesel variants produce 177bhp and 430Nm of torque, the petrol makes 245bhp and 365Nm of torque.

MERCEDES-AMG GT 4-DOOR
Mercedes-AMG has launched its fastest four-door production car, the AMG GT 4-Door coupe, at the Auto Expo 2020. Powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine mated to a 9-speed auto ’box making 630bhp and 900Nm, the GT 4-Door coupe can do 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds, and go on to a 305kmph top speed.

SKODA OCTAVIA RS 245
The Skoda Octavia RS has already had three generations in India (including the Laura), and has almost a cult following. The previous iteration made 227bhp from its 2-litre turbo-petrol motor, and Skoda has now upped the stakes, managing to squeeze out 15bhp more, bringing the figure to 242bhp! It also has a 7-speed DSG mated to an electronic limited slip differential helping it sprint to 100kmph in just 6.6 seconds.

KIA CARNIVAL
Kia’s second offering for the Indian market is squarely aimed at the Toyota Innova. Available in seven, eight and nine-seat layouts and in three trims: Premium Prestige and Limousine, it is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, making 197bhp and 440Nm.

MAHINDRA eKUV100
The Mahindra eKUV100, packing an electric motor with a maximum output of 54bhp and 120Nm, is the most affordable EV in India with a starting price of `8.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The eKUV100 offers a range of 147km on a single charge, and a DC fast charger can charge the battery to 80 per cent in a claimed one hour.

MARUTI SUZUKI ERTIGA CNG
Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the Ertiga CNG people-mover available in the VXi variant into a BS6-compliant guise. Under the hood, the Ertiga CNG employs the same 1.5-litre K15 motor mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, delivering 90bhp and 122Nm, however, there has been a marginal drop in fuel efficiency, from 26.2km/kg in BS4 guise to 26.08km/kg now.

TATA HARRIER
The Harrier also got an update for 2020. The SUV based on the Land Rover D8 platform called Omega Arc now gets a 6-speed automatic transmission option along with a an uprated version of the FCA-sourced diesel engine now making 170bhp. An added feature is the panoramic sunroof.
