Tata Motors pays homage to India’s diverse flora and fauna with the new Kaziranga edition lineup
THE KAZIRANGA EDITION CAN BE HAD IN THE TOP-END VARIANTS OF THESE SUVS
SHOWING NO SIGNS OF STOPPING at all, Tata Motors has once again brought in a new Limited Editon lineup, and much like the Dark Edition, this one too remains limited to aesthetics and some additions in equipment. The Kaziranga lineup is inspired by the geographical and biological diversity in India, and also pays homage to the one-horned rhinoceros found in the Kaziranga National Park, situated in the state of Assam. This special edition lineup includes the Punch, Nexon, Harrier, Safari ― essentially Tata’s SUV lineup ― and it will be offered in the top-end variants of these cars.
So what exactly is different on the Kaziranga
lineup? Firstly, it gets a new Grassland Beige paint scheme with a contrasting piano black finish on the roof, alloys and ORVMs, along with a Granite Black finish on the cladding, grille and roof rails. The tribute to the onehorned rhinoceros is also visible, in the form of the rhino mascot finished in Satin Black, which is placed on the front fender. The interiors are upholstered in Earthy Beige leatherette, and receive beige coloured inserts, while the dashboard receives a wood-finished element. Once again, you’ll find the tribute to the rhinoceros on the headrests of all Kaziranga edition cars.
The Kaziranga edition can be had in the topend variants of these SUVs, and are available as both manuals and automatics. Apart from the Nexon, they all carry over identical levels of trim as their top-end variants. The Nexon has the distinction of getting ventilated seats, an air-purifier, and an auto-dimming IRVM added to its feature list. It is also the only SUV available both in petrol and diesel. ⌧
