McLaren Automotive has officially entered the Indian market with its first showroom all set to open in Maharashtra, in the city of Mumbai

TWELVE YEARS AFTER ITS INCEPTION, MCLAREN Automotive has finally set up shop on Indian shores. McLaren’s first-ever Indian dealer is all set for inauguration in October 2022 in Mumbai. Infinity Cars has been appointed as its official dealer partner in the country and McLaren will offer complete support including sales, after sales, and servicing for the entire range of its models.

The legendary British supercar brand is no stranger to us Indians thanks to Formula 1 and its supercars such as the iconic F1 and P1. India will be McLaren Automotive’s 41st global territory and its initial line-up for our market includes the brand’s first-ever V6 hybrid, the Artura. The GT, which is their take on a Grand Tourer and the coupe and spider versions of the manic 720S along with the turned-up-toeleven 765LT.

The GT is the entry point in the manufacturer’s portfolio for India and is priced at `3.73 crore. The 720S is priced at `4.64 crores and its topless counterpart the 720S Spider will cost you a cool `5.03 crore. Prices for the Artura, and the 765LT twins aren’t out yet and we can expect these models to be launched at the opening of the showroom itself. All models from McLaren will be brought to India as CBUs.

The growth of supercar ownership in India has reached new heights over the past decade. Just about a few years ago, you would call yourself lucky if you caught a glimpse of even one high-end machine, even in metropolitan cities. But nowadays they’re a dime a dozen, a common sight on Indian roads and that is exactly why high-end performance car makers such as McLaren and others are coming to India with very high hopes. ⌧
