FERRARI 296 GTB
“With the 296 GTB, Ferrari has redefined what ‘fun to drive’ really means.” This is the Ed’s verdict on the newest member of the prancing horse family. A replacement for the F8 Tributo, the 296 GTB is the first road-going Ferrari to sport a V6 engine and it has been launched in India at an eyewatering ` 5.4 crore. Well, that’s the price of the decently loaded launch car. Consider this a ballpark ex-showroom price of the 296 GTB in India, because there are plenty of optional extras on offer. And when it comes to those, nobody does it more extravagantly than the folks from Maranello. But you get what you pay for ― 819bhp, 8500rpm redline and 328kmph top whack! Hmm!
