Piracy Living Room and live demo by MPAA
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is an American trade association representing the six major film studios of Hollywood.
The MPAA has a comprehensive global approach to reducing piracy. They co-operate with governments and law enforcement agencies to disrupt criminal operations behind large-scale piracy websites. MPAA also works with content creators on direct actions. MPAA provides content protection expertise, research and counsel to ACE - Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment created in 2017 by 30 leading global content and entertainment companies. The Indian delegation raised the issue of piracy of Indian content – broadcast, digital and films. Indian content is also being pirated in other countries such as Australia, Canada, and European Union (EU) member states via US-based servers and other web infrastructure services located in the United States. FICCI shared that the matter has been discussed with USTR, the India USPTO and representations. The delegation called for support from MPAA to work together with Indian organisations in the global fight against piracy.
